Web3 Startup Fractal Unveils Tools To Help Devs Create NFT Games

Fractal, a Web3 startup and non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace, has revealed the launch of Fractal Studio, also known as FStudio. FStudio is a three-part product that the firm believes will help video game developers to integrate crypto products in their titles without them necessarily having the knowledge to code.

Fractal launches tools to create NFT games

FStudio is a platform that will allow developers to have the ability to create, acquire and monetize their crypto projects. The developers using the platform will also be in a position to transform their in-game assets into NFTs through FStudio. The other features that will be made possible by this product include support for credit card payments for in-game crypto products while also creating in-game NFT shops.

The co-founder of Fractal is Justin Kan, who is also behind the Twitch streaming platform. Kan noted that this platform has been in existence for around eight months, and within that time, significant changes had happened across the cryptocurrency industry.

The users of FStudio can also integrate their games into the desktop game launcher supported by Fractal, which will support app-based games. This studio currently supports around 150 titles. The Fractal web platform can also support browser-based games.

Kan noted that Fractal operates in the same manner as an arcade. He noted that the platform was creating a space that could be used by a wide range of games. Players can then visit the platform to test out these games.

Fractal evolves beyond NFTs

Fractal has expanded its offerings beyond the NFT industry. Instead, this platform has now become a leading player in the Web3 industry. With the recent launch of FStudio, Fractal shows that it is venturing into having developer software that will make it a leading player in gaming.

The game developers that use FStudio will also be able to host their tournaments on the platform, after which they can win prize money. These developers can also create their own events, conduct giveaways and allow players to access rewards. The platform will also support a “crafting” mechanism where gamers can earn prizes.

In a recent blog post on this development, Fractal said that it was asking players to become investors in gaming platforms, which created a winning strategy for the majority of these users. The offering being promoted by FStudio is one that integrates both Web2 and Web3 offerings.

Fractal is also providing a Web2-friendly approach that the company believes will appeal to gamers and developers. It will also create an organic game economy that will attract many players.

The play-to-earn gaming industry witnessed sporadic growth in 2021. At the time, P2E games such as Axie Infinity dominated the blockchain gaming space by allowing the players to generate a passive income.

However, the P2E gaming model has been under scrutiny, with critics raising questions about its sustainability. Therefore, many gaming supporters have advocated for projects that have integrated crypto features but pay more attention to the gameplay experience.
