Magic Eden extends support for Polygon NFTs and gaming projects

Magic Eden, one of the popular non-fungible token (NFT) marketplaces, is expanding its Launchpad and marketplace to the Polygon blockchain. The platform will support the minting and trading of Polygon NFTs.

Magic Eden extends support for Polygon NFTs

Magic Eden is shifting its focus toward blockchain gaming, and one of the ways to do this is by extending support to the Polygon network. One of the efforts to achieve this is securing strategic partnerships with some of the world’s leading developers, such as Infinite Drive, Shatterpoint, Planet Mojo, Taunt Battleworld, and Kakao Games.

The Magic Eden Launchpad was launched in early 2022. The Launchpad has become a leading destination for the best NFT drops. The platform currently supports over 400 projects created on the Ethereum and the Solana blockchains.

The Magic Eden Launchpad offers immense benefits to those who use the platform. It comes with ultimate customization and marketing support while making it easier to execute operations. The Launchpad presents the ideal opportunity for new NFT projects to enter the primary market.

Besides benefiting from the support offered by Magic Eden, projects on the Launchpad also obtain access to the Magic Eden active secondary NFT market. Through this market, it becomes easy for the creators and the collectors to access additional liquidity while gaining entry to more than 10,000 listed collections on the platform.

Integrating Polygon will make it easier for new creators and game developers to access the cross-chain audience supported by Magic Eden. It will also become easier to launch products while growing communities.

“We’re excited to officially bring our snappy, seamless NFT minting and trading platform experience to Polygon. Having projects with strong development teams and IPs, like Shatterpoint and Infinite Drive with Aston Martin, makes this integration even more meaningful by allowing us to reach a wider set of audience,” said the COO and co-founder of Magic Eden, Zhuoxun Yin.

Yin also forecasted that the Web3 gaming industry would reach a billion-dollar valuation. Magic Eden was positioning itself as the go-to platform for NFT game discovery and trading across different networks.

Magic Eden launches Shatterpoint

Magic Eden will be kicking off its expansion to Polygon with the launch of the Shatterpoint blockchain gaming project. Shatterpoint is a project created by BlockGames and Estoty, some of the best gaming studios in Europe. These studios have over 50 million monthly active players and more than 1.5 billion cumulative downloads.

Infinite Drive will be the second Polygon mint done by Magic Eden. The project will be released on December 18. Infinite Drive is a mobile NFT gaming platform that also supports a metaverse for car enthusiasts. It allows players to collect their favorite cars. These NFT cars can be bought through Magic Eden, creating a broad collection.

During the first quarter of 2023, Magic Eden plans to continue focusing on its gaming project with Polygon. It will do this by enabling minting for other games, such as Taunt Battleworld and Planet Mojo.
