Japanese Gaming Giant Konami Announces Job Openings For NFT-Based Project

Japanese gaming giant Konami is planning to join the NFT and Web3 space after announcing job openings in this area.

The company announced that it is looking for skilled personnel that can fill up positions in repair improvement and system development. The roles of the selected applicants will be linked to the creation of the Metaverse and Web3 platforms.

Konami Looks For Programmers, Designers, And System Engineers

Konami revealed that it will incorporate the most recent gaming technologies via its research and development division.

The company is also looking to introduce an NFT-based trading platform that will enable users to carry out transactions for NFTs. The platform will enable gamers to trade the digital items they gained while playing on the platform.

Konami also has positions for designers, system engineers, project managers, administrators, and programmers.

Successful applicants will be introduced to Konami’s advanced digital goods distribution platform which meets Japan’s standard for blockchain video games.

Konami Has Earlier Forayed Into NFT Space

The recent development is not the first time that Konami will be linked to NFTs. In January this year, the company launched an NFT collection to celebrate its Castlevania franchise.

Konami is known for the creation of very popular video games, including Metallic Gear Stable, Dance Dance Revolution, Castlevania, and Fogger.

The gaming industry is not relenting in its transition to a blockchain environment. Many gaming firms are now moving to the metaverse to meet the demands of gamers and other users.

But things have not been smooth sailing for some of those firms who have tried to enter the NFTs market.

Earlier this year, Ubisoft launched a Quartz platform which was highly criticized by users. Some of the users were upset because Ubisoft stated that most die-hard players do not fully understand the benefits of NFTs.

Others believe that Ubisoft’s entry into the NFT market is motivated by only money and not the interest of users. Following the backlash, Ubisoft explained in September that the company was only testing and conducting research on the integration of its systems into Web3 technology.
