Cryptoys Chief Explains The Future Of Toys Within The Web3 Space

The Metaverse and Web3 platform is growing rapidly, with more participants increasingly joining the space. Cryptoys is one of the platforms gaining more relevance and support in the NFT and Web3 space. Chief Executive Officer of the platform Will Weinraub was interviewed on NFT Steez, a bi-weekly Twitter Space hosted by Ray Salmond and Alyssa Exposito. He discussed Cryptoy’s integration with Web3 and nonfungible tokens (NFTs).

NFT To Highlight Layer Of Ownership Via Play

NFT, especially in gaming, is highlighting the layer of ownership through play. Weinraub says adults are also exploring ways to feel like kids again, although in a different manner and approach. He added that such a tenet is the key to his experience with the evolution of play.

Weinraub stated that the act of play is not restricted to children. Adults still crave the play element in their lives. But “play has evolved” due to the growth and development of technology.

Weinraub gained vital experience from watching his kids build virtual worlds in Roblox. He also explained that the internet has played a major role in ensuring the evolution of play and gaming. The evolution means that players are no longer limited by geographic locations, as they can now enjoy their favorite games with anyone around the world. While they can play indoors, the playing environment is creating a near real-life experience.

Cryptocurrency Is An Important Foundation Of Blockchain Gaming

Weinraub added that the content of gaming is way different as it leans towards “social play” irrespective of geographical barriers. This is what makes it different from the gaming of previous decades.

He also addressed the issue of the comfort level of children and young adults as it relates to their digital interactions and real-life social interactions. Weinraub admitted that the situation exists, but says it can affect some people and amplify others as well.

He noted that gaming evolution seems to be moving towards “social play”, and the new gaming systems are now designed to “enhance the communication skills” of the gamers.

Weinraub was also asked about the role of tokenomics and in-game cryptocurrencies in blockchain gaming. He says both are strong foundations of blockchain gaming.
