Web3 Gaming Platform Blockus Announces $4 Million Seed Funding

Major web3 gaming platform Blockus, has announced the successful completion of a $4 million pre-seed funding round. According to the announcement, the funding round was led by Maple VC, with participation from several other investors like LayerZero’s Bryan Pelligrino, Michael Ma from CreatorDAO, and Magic Eden’s Zhuoxun Yin.

The funding is also coming when Blockuus is increasing its stake in the blockchain industry through a16z Crypto’s Startup Accelerator. There, it linked with major pre-season investors and advisers.

Blockus Expands Its Gaming Infrastructure With Established Partners

Blockus is not taking this step alone, as it is supported by several established investors. These include top layer 1 and layer 2 chains like Sui and Polygon, as well as web3 game developers like Ambrus Studio. The platform has continued its development and taking huge steps in both traditional and emerging platforms like Unreal Engine by Epic Games.

A recent data released by DappRadar showed that there are 6.7 million daily unique active wallets, which is an all-time high. The data also shows that out of that number, there are about 2 million transactions with the gaming dApps. Blockus has reiterated its goal to benefit from the web3 gaming market, projected to hit $600 billion by 2030.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Ambrus Studio, Johnson Yeh, commented on the development. He stated that the company is excited to partner with Blockus, which has shown a strong desire for growth in the web3 gaming space.

He added that Abrus Studio is confident that Blockus will play a major part in the future both companies are planning for. Web3 gaming has seen massive interest in recent months, which has coincided with the surge in cryptocurrencies. In addition, the increase in activities within the dApp space has also made things more interesting.

Blockus Plans To Take An Innovative Approach Towards Blockchain Gaming

Blockus technology platform is facilitating on-chain features and streamlining players onboarding for game studios. It uses payment processing, white-label NFT marketplace, and “wallet-as-a-service” for both crypto and fiat currency transactions.

Blockus provides the facilities for game developers to concentrate on creating game rather than offering a complex blockchain infrastructure. The platfrom noted that the goal is to onboard both experienced developers and newbies to foster more blockchain gaming expansion.

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Blockus, Jess Zhang, commented on the funding round. He stated that the continuous progress of the company has brought trust from investors.

He added that the platform is prepared to continue its innovative approach towards blockchain gaming. The company seeks to expand its blockchain solutions to more developers and studios.
