Superchief Gallery Takes More NFT Projects for Digital Artists

Superchief’s Los Angeles space has announced its expansion into the crypto market. The gallery features several NFT artworks, and recently announced its 10th anniversary with a new exhibition over the weekend.

The Superchief gallery, located in Los Angeles in a warehouse-style building, features a graffiti-splattered alleyway, surrealist NFTs, psychedelic paintings, as well as a parking lot with a knife-throwing board.

Last Year, The Gallery Launched The World’s First NFT Gallery

Co-founder of Superchief, Edward Zipco, while commenting on the development, stated that the goal is to showcase the works of its large community of artists and bring them into one good show. He added that the gallery has been exhibiting since 2016 but the company wants to take it to another level.

Zipco stated that the gallery began in New York with co-founder Bill Dunleavy in 2012. However, the company established the world’s first physical NFT gallery in New York last year. The two co-founders have been joggling their time between the company’s New York and Los Angeles locations. However, Zipco chose Ethereum for his work. When asked about the decision, he said he still believes that Ethereum is the most popular and most respected blockchain within the NFT space.

Last month, the gallery rolled out its Ethereum membership NFTs, with the “OG Worldwide Multipass” costing 1 ETH (about $1,205). The NFT gives rights of use to the Superchief’s galleries and upcoming artists.

NFTs Have Created More Space For Participation

The craze for NFTs has led several companies to launch their nonfungible products and galleries to attract more participants. NFTs offer access to users and holders, encouraging more participation in digital arts. It has also opened the door for artists who now have more opportunities to showcase their talents and make them more visible to the audience.

Zipco says NFT is bringing the first real revolutionary moment for artists. It’s giving digital artists who have been kept out in the art world the opportunity to have a shot, providing royalties for their efforts. It offers a way for digital artists to monetize their work and gain more traction within the mainstream art world, Sipco added.
