Station Casinos integrates NFT rewards into the loyalty program

Station Casinos, a company situated in Las Vegas, is supporting the use of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The casino will reward the players with digital art available during slot play.

Station Casinos integrates NFT rewards

Station Casinos launched STM Charms on Friday. STN Charms is an extension of its Boarding Pass casino loyalty program that will reward customers with NFTs. NFTs are a form of digital art created on the blockchain and can be converted into real-world money. NFTs have become a key piece of gaming, and they are now finding a use case in casinos.

During the launch of this platform, all the loyalty members are enrolled automatically, and they will receive the debut shamrock Char. Charm is an NFT that will be displayed on the service window of the slot machine when the player joins the platform using their card.

The senior vice president of innovation at Station Casinos, Tom Mikulich, said the idea has been under development for a few years. The company said that some of the most popular video games, such as Candy Crush Saga, inspired the project. In such games, players can customize when they level up.

In the company’s project, the players that use good luck charms when gambling will level up in luck when they win. “The end result: a collection of digital good luck charms that level up in luck when you win,” Mikulich said.

This slot program will allow the players to access multiple non-fungible tokens (NFTs) using multiple paths that support earning. New collectibles will be released monthly, with every charm being differentiated by category of the level or rarity and luck. The category of each NFT is associated with the winnings when the charm is activated on the slot machine.

STN Charms was created through a partnership between the casino and Mintable, a Web3 service provider. Mintable rewards members when they buy, sell, and display NFTs. Intergalactic Agency was also one of the partners, and it is a firm designed that designed the end-to-end systems for Charms.

Las Vegas entertainment companies show interest in NFTs

Several casinos and entertainment companies in Las Vegas have adopted NFTs. Circa, based in downtown Las Vegas, unveiled Vegas Vickie NFT in March last year. At the time, Circa said that it was the first casino in Vegas to tap into the blockchain.

Allied Esports Entertainment’s owner also launched a rewards program that offered NFT prizes. The program was launched in May last year. However, Station hopes the patent-pending FT program was more of a game within a game. According to Mikulich, the platform will offer more dimension to the player’s club.

“We believe STM Charms will reshape the casino gaming landscape and modernize loyalty programs making for a more rewarding and fun gaming experience for our guests,” Mikulich said. This adoption could pave the way for more entertainment companies in Las Vegas to offer services related to blockchain technology and digital assets.
