Spacebrat Collaborates With Holograph Protocol To Mint Its First Free NFT

Jasmine Monsegue has announced the launch of its first free NFT known as “Gleam.” Monsegue, who is also called artist Spacebrat, stated that the NFT was released via an open edition mint, and the reception so far has exceeded her expectations. “I cannot believe planet Earth minted my first NFT 30,762 times in the last 23 hours,” she said on Twitter.

However, the mint has a 48-hour window. Fans will have the ability to mint the NFT more than 300,000 times across several chains via a protocol known as Holograph.

Holograph was designed by CXIP Labs and uses a multi-chain approach for digital and art collectibles. The protocol’s website notes that it will yield assets as single instances across multiple executions.

Users Can Own NFTs Across Several Chains

Holograph also enables users to own NFTs across several chains. At the moment, the Spacebrat NFT supports BNB Chain, Polygon, Ethereum, and Avalanche.

Hypebeat and Vogue have both featured Monsegue’s work while WHAAM! has also exhibited the piece featured in the NFT mint, “Gleam” for her solo show, Pipe Dream.

Additionally, Monsegue has done commissioned work for Drake and previously designed murals for Virgil Abloh’s OFF WHITE, according to Holograph. Her partnership with Holograph will he her first sojourn in the Web3 space.

The NFT comes with a dedicated page for each chain and is currently available on secondary marketplaces like OpenSea, including those that exist on Polygon and the Ethereum-based versions of Gleam.

The Open-Edition Mint Had About 164,000 Unique Wallets

The Holograph offered them for free on its website during the two-day window. The website allowed collectors to decide which chain they could mint their collectors on. However, they also had to pay the associated costs of the transaction as gas fees. “Gleam” has already been minted 301,798 times. Out of this number, the NFT was minted 203,000 times on the Ethereum scaling solution, Polygon.

This is significantly higher than the versions of Gleam minted on BNB Chain and Avalanche, which totaled 46,000 and 53,000, respectively. However, the collectible was minted only 82 times on Ethereum. With the high level of interest from fans and other NFT enthusiasts, the Gleam NFT may continue to surge in demand, but it’s uncertain whether interest will sustain after the free mint period.

About 164,000 unique wallets participated in the open-edition mint. A single wallet minted a total of 1,241 Gleam NFT, while about 50 other wallets successfully minted Gleam over 100 times.

Holograph’s first partnership was an open edition mint last month. The collaboration was collected 444 times and was available for minting at $45. It showcased Dan Witz’s “Mosh Pit 2000”. But its collaboration with Glean has received significantly more interest.
