Shrapnel’ Introduces In-Game Marketplace During Epic Games Store Launch

Shrapnel is a highly awaited first-person shooter game developed on the Avalanche blockchain. The game has revealed a series of fresh updates for players taking part in its early access offering on PC through the Epic Games Store. Shrapnel also launched a marketplace for acquiring exclusive cosmetic items.

Earlier this week, Neon Machine rolled out the Shrapnel Training Exercise 2 (STX2) edition of the early access game. It features Wearable in-game cosmetics such as High-quality designs that players can acquire with the game’s SHRAP currency.

Shrapnel Wants To Establish A Unique Economy That Rewards Players In New Ways

The Chief Executive Officer of Shrapnel, Mark Long, stated that the launch of the premium cosmetics and marketplace is a major boost in their objective. The company is aiming to provide a distinctive Shrapnel economy that grants rewards to players and creators in new ways.

Additionally, STX2 presents a new environment art, a Stealth attachment for silent shooting, and a brand-new sub-machine gun weapon. Players cannot steal appearances from others yet, that feature is scheduled for future updates alongside options to create, trade, and sell user-generated content.

Shrapnel also cited that people who possess the game’s Partner NFT or tokens, Extraction Packs, and Operator Collection NFTs will receive rewards of many loot and cosmetics. Also, ecosystem partners such as NeoTokyo, Alchemy, BoDoggos, and Superverse, will release weapon cosmetics through airdrop to their respective user bases.

Shrapnel Seeks To Provide An Immersive And Competitive Gaming Experience

The early access release of Shrapnel’s corresponds with the newest in-game tournament to earn some bags of SHRAP tokens. Approximately 298,971 tokens, valued at $82,000 are to be distributed out to gamers based on their placement on leaderboard from Wednesday to Saturday. These tokens will be split evenly across the four days of the tournament.

According to Neon Machine, Shrapnel has amassed more than 100,000 registered gamers account to date. The early access version necessitates an Extraction Pack key, ranging from $20 currently. Last year, the studio generated a Series A funding round of $20 million.

SHRAPNEL is a highly competitive AAA extraction shooter game designed by NEON, the BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning game entity veterans. SHRAPNEL offers high-stakes skill-based gameplay, a community marketplace, and a range of creator tools.

Gamers can pick from three Operator classes, Infosec, Survivalist, or Assault. Each class offers a unique array of special abilities that can be helpful in a combat situation.
