Saga Network Announces Game Publishing Venture During Ongoing Airdrop Campaign

Saga, a layer-1 blockchain network, has revealed the creation of an innovative game publishing arm titled Saga Origins. It made this announcement during the Game Developers conference held earlier this week. Saga also announced a new mainnet rollout goal as the recent airdrop claim continues.

The publishing division will provide a complete and collaborative approach to launching games, such as support for promotional efforts, community building, and user acquisition. Although no games have been introduced for the brand yet, Saga is presenting network games such as Another World and Rogue Nation at the Game Developer Conference this week.

The Platform Aims To Transform How People See Games In The Web3 Space

According to a release, the firm stated that Saga Origins is the Premier and sole layer-1 Web3 game publisher. However, layer-2 publishers such as Immutable have been active in the Ethereum network.

The Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Saga, Rebecca Liao, stated that the responsibility of drawing in users to the platform always falls on the shoulders of game producers. Liao further emphasized that the company seeks to challenge that tradition and utilize its platform to draw users to the game instead.

She also mentioned that Saga Origins will permit creators to bring uncompromising, expansive, and provocative games to users that will transform how people see games.

Saga Seeks To Transform The Landscape Of Web3 And Defi

Saga announced that the Saga mainnet is set to debut in April. The firm recently introduced an airdrop campaign, after hosting months of play-to-airdrop competition across diverse games for both games on the Saga testnet and also on chains such as Polygon and Avalanche.

DeFi token stakers on different networks also benefit from the airdrop, along with NFT holders such as CryptoPunks and Bored Ape Yacht. Although eligible wallets can currently claim their airdrop allocations, the token is yet to go live. This is anticipated to occur immediately after the Sega Mainnet goes live in April.

Sega focuses on the rapidly growing sector of Web3 gaming and entertainment. This segment is swiftly emerging as an area with significant demands for a specialized blockchain ecosystem and highly dependable service-level agreements.

As users’ interaction with the multiverse rises, so does the outlook for seamless user experience and performance. Platforms that are crypto-based are thus under pressure to fulfill this growing requirement, While the multiverse presents an expanding and exciting field, decentralized finance (DeFi) remains the foundational aspect of Web3.

The innovation of Saga in blockchain technology enables the handling of high-volume-low-value types of transactions. This initiative is set to pave the way for new categories of DeFi applications, expanding the scope of what’s achievable within the sector.
