Palm Collective Unveils Obscura Community to Support Web3 Artists

Palm Collective, a Web3 community initiative backed by Polygon and ConsenSys, has launched the Obscura Community.

The Obscura Community is a platform seeking to support Web3 artists. Last month, the project announced the launch of a $1,000 art contest to celebrate the birth of this community and “womxn’s Month.”

The art contest launched last month was known as the “Call x Digital Art: Egalitarian Utopia.” The contest launched on March 11, and it attracted the participation of all artists who wanted to participate. Besides offering the $1,000 prize, the artwork that won the contest was also eligible to feature in a window display on Broadway Avenue in New York on April 1.

Palm Collective Closes Art Contest for Obscura Community

The art contest has already closed, with the top 15 to 20 artists having a chance to showcase their work at Lume Studios NYC during the Palm Collective NFTNYC event that happened on April 1. Those who failed to win NFTs were also eligible for Palm Collective Proofs.

Artists who participated in the event also had to submit their entries by March 22, with every artist having a single submission that needed to be an original piece. The participating NFT artworks needed to be minted on the Palm Network.

The contestants were also required to abide by the terms and conditions of this contest. They needed to acknowledge that the artwork submitted for the competition would have a high-definition version if chosen for the event. The competition was also open to different art mediums such as photos, videos, music, AI, and 3D.

Palm Creative is Setting the Pace Through Art

The Palm Collective has become popular in the NFT art industry for giving unknown artists a chance to showcase their talent. It gives digital creators a platform to secure attention for their original art warrants.

The Palm Network also offers artists the infrastructure needed to create unique pieces of art. The project claims to focus less on technology, and more on the social good and the benefits that art can have in the world.

Palm Collective has also given marginalized communities a chance to display their artworks. The art contest was open to all artists, but the platform encouraged female creators to participate and share their art to enjoy benefits.

Obscura will play a pivotal community role by giving support to We3 creators interested in photography. It will allow artists to showcase their work while incentivizing them to collaborate for the greater good.

The creators who also want to participate in the Egalitarian Utopia also submitted their applications last month. The curation period for this contest started on March 23, with the winning entries also having a chance to display their artwork at Lume Studios for a day.
