Owners of WIF Shiba Inu Dog Partner with Feisty DAO for an Achi NFT

The owner of the real-life South Korean dog behind the Dogwifhat logo is embroidered in a tussle with the Solana community. This tussle comes as the dog owners launch a non-fungible token (NFT) for this dog on the Ethereum blockchain.

Dogwifhat (WIF) adds to the growing list of Shiba Inu-themed meme coins that have posted massive gains this year. The token has posted massive gains since its launch, and it is currently the third-largest meme coin by market capitalization.

Dogwifhat Dog Owners Launch NFT on Ethereum

An Instagram user announced that the Shiba Inu featured in the Dogwifhat logo, named Achi, was their pet. These owners are now planning to auction an NFT depicting the dog. This NFT will feature an iconic photo of the dog wearing a women’s beanie. The owners of the dog said they knit the beanie specifically for the dog.

The Instagram profile of the user has posted different photos of a Shiba Inu dog wearing different woven clothing. They posted the Dogwifhat photo in December 2018, with the photo now going viral since being used as a logo for one of the best-performing meme coins in the market.

The WIF meme coin has been created on the Solana blockchain. However, the Achi NFT auction happened on the Ethereum blockchain. Seeing that Solana is Ethereum’s biggest rival, the Solana community was not pleased with the NFT’s launch on Ethereum.

The dog owners partnered with Feisty DAO to launch the Achi NFT. The Feisty DAO involves an online community that has experience in buying and fractionalizing NFTs related to Shiba Inu on the Ethereum blockchain.

The Achi NFT was minted as an NFT on the Ethereum blockchain, and listed for auction on the Ethereum NFT platform known as Foundation. The NFT last sold for 1,210 ETH according to the Foundation platform.

Tussle with the WIF Solana Community

The WIF community on Solana did not mince their words while responding to the decision taken by the parents to launch the NFT on Ethereum. The criticism was so much that at one point, they urged the WIF community to stop the criticism through an Instagram post.

However, the owners of the dog said they had previously attempted to partner with the Solana community. The partnership involved creating a meme coin known as ACHI that launched in February. The creators of the meme coin allegedly rug-pulled on the project.

The poor experience by Achi’s dog owners led to them choosing to partner with Feisty DAO. This DAO has launched multiple NFT sales in the past, with quite a number of these being for NFTs inspired by Shiba Inu-themed meme coins.
