NFT Gaming Platform Eterlast Launches New Web3 Space For Global Sports

Web3 startup Eterlast has announced $4.5million funding for its blockchain-based gaming experiences, as it exists in stealth mode.

Eterlast develops non-fungible tokens linked with media franchise partners. The digital assets can be used by consumers as part of their gaming experience.  According to the announcement, the startup is considering an expansion of its operations following the funding round. The firm has started the development of blockchain games based on the sports of rugby and boxing. This comes amidst a shrinking NFT market where the average price of tokens has dropped significantly.

Eterlast To Build A Holistic Ecosystem For Web3 Gaming

Joan Roure, Chief Executive Officer of Eterlast, commented on the development. He noted that the company takes the NFT as a technology that improves the experience of the present use case around gaming. In line with that, Eterlast wants to build a holistic ecosystem that brings gaming and live events together.

“This funding will enable us to launch our first officially licensed products,” Roure said. The firm has noted that it will be concentrating on building its user base and expanding its operations through more brand partnerships for the next 12 months.

Eterlast was established in the United Kingdom under the venture capital firm and startup accelerator, Founders Factory. The company also has an operational base in Barcelona, Spain.

The Funding Was Led By Supermode

Several top companies participated in Eterlast’s seed investment funding, including Founders Factory, Stake Capital, Immutable X, Play Ventures, Supermode Global, and Active Partners.

One of the partners, Supermode Global, noted that the Eterlast team has been doing a fantastic job to date, as it has integrated its platform after securing impressive partnerships. The firm added that the partnership with Eterlast is a massive opportunity that will lead to the expansion of the Web3 space in sports. Eterlast can capitalize on this opportunity and expand the Web3 space.

NFT startups have been getting a lot of opportunities to strengthen their partnerships within the sporting world. The English Premier League is currently in talks to complete a multi-million pound deal with lots of NFT startups. Most of the deals will begin from the next football season. This comes as the department of Digital, Culture, and Media (DCMS) is planning to access the risks and benefits of NFTs.
