NFT Game Grit Gives Away 500 In-Game Items at A Crypto Event

The level of interest in non-fungible tokens (NFTs) is getting super exciting for crypto and metaverse enthusiasts. Even though the cryptocurrency space is experiencing a major setback, the NFT market keeps growing.

Now, NFT game Grit has announced that it is giving away 500 in-game items that were flipped from the Unreal Engine. But some users are not convinced about the game and its impact on the community.

The Game Will Be Launched This Year

The new game outfit is planning to launch on the EPIC Games later this year. According to the project’s team, one of the aims is to close the gap between Web2 (which is the present internet technology) and Web3 technology.

However, Grit seems to be another battle royale, which will include some of the games being shown off, as well as free items in the form of NFTs to be shared with those that attended. At the event, the expo-goers were given horses to ride on, with the tickets priced at $8,000.

The developers have already rated the NFT tokens as “rare”. It is designed to give those that own one of the tokens an advantage. According to tweets by the organizers, although the NFTs are unique, they look identical to an Unreal Engine asset the Epic Game Store.

The NFT Horses Sell For £30

Grit is offering the horses to the developers for about £30. The holder can use them in any Unreal project the developer chooses, including Grit which is based on the Unreal Engine.

After selling off the premade horses, Grit says they will be converted to NFTs, which can be resold in the future.

The organizer has also added a feature that can allow people to spend money on the game even before it is launched. The idea is to enable the prospective holders to gain a “Generative Character” from a “Gunslinger Box”. Each character is being sold for £478.66, which is randomly generated to have a unique feature for the holder.

The characters have been likened to modular assets that go for £239.52 each. A content creator who attended the event stated that Grit is the first game to launch on the Epic Games Store since Fortnite, which was not as successful as expected.
