NFT Collectibles Platform Veve Launches a Comics NFT Issue On Immutable

VeVe, a non-fungible token (NFT) collectibles platform on the Ethereum blockchain, has announced the launch of a new VeVe Comics platform and a digital comic book reader.

The first batch of comic books that will launch through this offering comes from Marvel Comics. Marvel has had a massive presence in the comics industry, with this partnership set to skyrocket the popularity of these digital collectibles.

VeVe Launches NFTs with Marvel

Marvel is the launch partner of VeVe for the digital issue. According to the platform, fans will have access to more than 300 new digital issues by Marvel. These digital issues will be inspired by some of the best comic characters by Marvel including Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, and X-Men.

The new comic books that will be issued as part of the digital issue will also be available in print. The comic books will also be available through panel-by-panel viewing. According to the company, every page will be digitally converted by hand, which will give users access to a high-quality comic book.

The VeVe comic book platform will be different from the other digital comic platforms. The offering will be different from the digital prints that are sold on Amazon or the now-defunct Comixology platform. The standard digital comic books will also have the same cost as the issues sold in print or digital copies.

While speaking on the launch of this platform, the CEO of VeVe, David Yu, opined that it recognized the demand for immersive experiences by fans of digital comics. As such, it was working to create a platform that makes comics fun and easy for readers.

Veve to Offer Limited-Edition NFT Versions

VeVe will also appeal to comic enthusiasts by selling limited-edition NFT versions to users. The limited-edition NFTs will be available in different rarity levels. Each of these levels will have a unique edition number, allowing users to hold a truly unique digital item.

The comic NFTs will be minted on the Immutable X blockchain, which is an Ethereum scaling solution. Users can also resell these NFTs on the Veve NFT marketplace. The NFTs will come with up to five different comic book covers. Users can also read these comic books using an augmented reality experience on the Veve application.

The limited edition comics will be more expensive as they will cost $3 more on average compared to the standard digital versions. The standard digital versions will not be tokenized as NFTs.

The Veve comic book application will be available for free download on both iOS and Android devices. Users on this platform will also access the NFT marketplace and Comics app under a single account. According to Veve, this offering marked the start of a unique alliance with the comic book sector.

VeVe has made a name for itself in the comics industry since its launch in 2018. The platform deals in digital collectibles offered by some of the largest entertainment giants such as DC Comics, Marvel, and Disney, among others.
