Nefta partners with MYSTiC Games for a Web3 mobile game

Nefta has announced a partnership with MYSTiC Games. The two platforms will collaborate in releasing a Web3-integrated mobile gaming platform that features free-to-own non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The players will earn these NFTs through gameplay.

Under this partnership deal, Nefta will be the adviser for MYSTiC Games. The company will give MYSTiC Games the support it needs to mint the native token for the game, create a digital wallet and release a marketplace that the players will use to trade their NFTs.

MYSTiC Games is a platform created in 2022 by some of the oldest players in the industry, Jakob Braunish and Matthew Buxton. The company recently closed a $1.3 million funding round led by Shima Capital. The mission of this company is to boost the accessibility of blockchain gaming platforms.

All the NFTs this gaming platform will support will be free to own. Each of these NFTs can also be traded with the other players. The NFTs will retain their initial value, and the players will not be required to have a crypto wallet to start playing the game. This will lower the barrier to entry and make the game more accessible.

MYSTiC Games will also have a CATALYST platform to boost a free and accessible blockchain experience. The players will earn VoYd tokens during gameplay. These tokens will be transferrable between different players and can be spent within the game. Moreover, the players can also choose to stake or sell the tokens.

The VoYd tokens and NFTs that the players earn during the game will be shared on all the future games created on CATALYST, which will promote compatibility. The gaming system will be under the management of the MYSTiC DAO, where the players will get a chance to own part of the game and participate in future releases.

Boosting accessibility to blockchain games

The CEO of Nefta, Geeshan Willink, commented on this development saying, “We share MYSTiC Games’ passion and ambition to make the world of Web3 more accessible and are proud to offer our support to help make this a reality.”

Willink further said that the experience of MYSTiC Games in the mobile gaming industry and the end-to-end Web3 solutions supported by Nefta would help make the project a reality and support the accessibility and the adoption of blockchain gaming.

The game will be created on the Polygon blockchain. Nefta will leverage the proof-of-stake consensus that Polygon uses to tap into the cost-effectiveness and the low gas fees charged on the platform.

The CEO and co-founder of MYSTiC Games, Matthew Buxton, noted that after working on some of the largest mobile titles, the company was finally excited to work on a new challenge of bringing blockchain gaming to the mainstream. Buxton noted that the game would promote accessibility and provide a fun and engaging gaming experience that supports the community’s growth.
