Metaverse Game Studios partners with ImmutableX for upcoming Web3 gaming title

Metaverse Game Studios, one of the most popular independent game development companies, has announced a partnership deal with ImmutableX. Through this partnership, the two will work towards building Angelic.

Metaverse Game Studios is a platform that has attracted some of the largest developers and has worked on several AAA titles. The upcoming title will be powered by Unreal Engine 5.

The title has been promoted as a dark science fiction-themed strategy RPG. It comes with a single-player campaign and a free-to-play virtual world. It has a broad range of offerings for gamers that want to experience AAA-level Web3 gaming.

The full stack gaming platform that ImmutableX promotes will power non-fungible tokens (NFTs) running on the Ethereum blockchain. It will also support digital collectibles within the game, allowing them to be owned by the players.

The VP of Global Business Development at Immutable, Andrew Sorokovsky, noted that Metaverse Game Studios embraced digital ownership and gaming models led by players. Therefore, Immutable would offer the tools and solutions needed by the gaming developer for the best Web3 experience that all Angelic players would access.

The developers behind this platform have also touted it as “chain agnostic.” This means that digital assets will be running off-chain. However, they will also be interoperable with other blockchain networks, which will go a long way to boost players’ convenience and promote accessibility.

Targeting Web2 and Web3 audiences

The Angelic gaming title is created for both Web2 and Web3 audiences. The Angelic gaming platform promises to come up with a “collaborate-to-earn” offering. This offering will allow users to own the in-game assets and participate in the game’s future development.

Metaverse Game Studios and ImmutableX will also be working together to reward the members of the Angelic community for contributing to the gaming world. The director of operations at Metaverse Game Studios, Anastasia Volgemut, commented on the partnership, saying that ImmutableX was a crucial part of its Web3 strategy.

“By leveraging ImmutableX, our users can tap into the benefits of fast, secure, and gas-free minting and an uninterrupted, quality gaming experience,” Volgemut added.

The alpha testing phase for the Angelic gaming title will include select community members and other partners. The alpha testing will be rolled out in January, with the public launch scheduled for February.

Afterward, the players will be allowed to trade the in-game NFTs they had previously acquired. Once the public launch happens, the players will be allowed to trade the NFTs they acquired during the early access version within the peer-to-peer version of this game.

The public launch of this gaming title will be happening around one year after the company secured $10 million in a seed fundraising round conducted in March. The funding round was spearheaded by Animoca Brands alongside other large investors such as Pantera Capital and Everyrealm.
