MetalCore Rolls Out Immutable zkEVM Beta, Providing Players with Token Rewards

Studio369, the platform that powered the Ethereum-based mech shooter game MetalCore, has recently unveiled the release of its newest closed beta test.

This approach marks a significant achievement for the studio firm, as it gained recognition as the first playable title established on the fresh Immutable zkEVM scaling network.

The second MetaCore closed beta which will be in operation until April 22, will initiate fresh features, advanced customization, the Barony system (the game’s edition of guilds), and other quests.

MCG, the MetalCore’s native token, will also serve as a unique feature in the game’s economy and growth. The forthcoming token allows gamers to exchange items such as vehicles, weapons, and mechanics into NFTs that can be utilized in the game. This token will also facilitate the customization of players’ gameplay and offer them exclusive rewards and benefits.

Additionally, Studio369 offers awards to gamers like “marks” similar to airdrop points. This award which subsequently be exchanged for an MCG token immediately after it  is generated, thus facilitating an airdrop for the forthcoming token.

Justin Hulog, Chief Studio Officer at Immutable Games, expressed that the Immutable zkEVM mainnet debut of the MetalCore closed beta marks a notable milestone for Studio 369 and Immutable.

Immutable zkEVM, driven by Polygon’s zkEVM tech, is an advanced layer-2 scaling system that facilitates faster and cheaper transactions than the Ethereum mainnet. The firm’s Immutable X system is also built for games, but zkEVM tech provides enhanced compatibility with the extensive Ethereum network.

The publisher of the Ethereum NFT card game Gods Unchained, Immutable Games, has recently unveiled the release of an expansion pack, Dread Awakening, which will incorporate a crossover with the forthcoming Guild of Guardians, a mobile role-playing game.

Scheduled for debut on April 23, the Dread Awakening will encompass 148 cards deployed on Immutable X, an Ethereum scaling network initially established by the publisher. Additionally, the Guild of Guardians also powered by Immutable Games is scheduled for a launch on May 15.

Matt Candler, the Chief Executive Officer of Studio369, expressed great enthusiasm about MetalCore being the inaugural playable Web3 game constructed on Immutable’s zkEVM Mainnet, coinciding with the launch of their second closed beta event.
