Metagood Brings Social Networking Into The NFT Space

Metagood has been around for about one year. The Company, with 15 employees, is supported by a network of social impact professionals, crypto experts, and award-winning artists. These include Jessrey Zirlin and Sabastein Borget, co-founders of NFT projects Axie Infinity and The Sandbox, respectively. The company is gradually bringing philanthropy into the NFT space.

Other popular people, including Actors Woody Harrelson and Owen Wilson, as well as Randi, sister of Mark Zuckerberg, are also backers. The platform wants to focus on its upcoming Karma NFT and its decentralized autonomous organization.

Metagood’s NFT Project Touches Philanthropy

Although Metagood is a for-profit company, it has focused on philanthropy in recent times. Chief Executive Officer of Metagood, Danny Yang, said these contradictory goals are sometimes easier to achieve with crypto because of the ability of NFTs to provide investment opportunities to everyone. NFTs have also been used to form digital communities, which are growing at an impressive rate.

Yang noted that OnChanMonkay can be regarded as one of the most profitable NFT collections when measured on the percentage of profitable trades. According to him, the startup has worked with several charities, contributing part of its revenue via the Metagood Giving Fund.

It has donated to several United Nations causes as well as to UNICEF. The project has also offered humanitarian aid to Ukraine and contributed financially to the evacuation of Sharbat Gula, a popular female Afghan refugee.

OnChainMonkey NFTs Focuses On Charities

Danny Yang was part of the team that executed what he calls a historic crypto transaction when his NFT project minted 10,000 tokens at a time, becoming the first to do so. The OnChainMonkey project imitated the strategy of several so-called “profile picture” NFT collections, including the widely known Bored Apes.

Yang said despite the similarity with other NFT projects, this one serves a social goal, which makes it unique and different. The Monkey-themed NFTs focused on charities, and fees came down when they were minted in a single blockchain transaction.

This allows other charities to enter the NFT space because of the more cost-effective way. Yang added that the project can align people are the new technologies can help people solve problems. Yang has been working in the crypto industry for years, before branching into the NFT space.
