MetaBeat Signs Strategic Alliance With Leading K-POP Entertainment Firms

MetaBeat, a global music IP NFT platform, said that it has signed strategic partnerships with TR Entertainment, Beats Entertainment, WM Entertainment, DSP Media, Studio Jamm, and RBW.

Through that strategic partnership with Korea’s leading entertainment firms, MetaBeat wants to promote and market global fandom based on K-POP music IP. In August 2022, it is set to launch nonfungible tokens based on the music IP of leading artists, such as MAMAMOO and ONEUS, operating as a global platform.

The memorandum of understanding (MOU) for a joint project of music intellectual property rights NFT with 6 music production and entertainment firms including RBW.

While active on the MetaBeat platform, the fandom that has resulted in the pop culture will have a chance to maximize the value of the artists’ creations through the distribution of neighboring rights in the form of NFTs.

In that context, they can readily participate in MetaBeat’s Mingle, Drops, and Shout-Out Services that can link artists and fandom, and then use MetaBeat’s independent F2E (FAN-TO-EARN) network beyond simple distribution of music IP through different types of compensation.

Starting with music IP, it grows into all entertainment segments such as broadcasting, portrait rights, and performances. Unlike many other similar services that were restricted to the distribution of just music IPs, MetaBeat users will have some access to own a variety of intangible assets. This move would enable them to realize the vision to build highly enhanced fandom in the relationship between artists and fans via different types of collaborations with entertainment firms.

RBW has music IP from different artists that have led K-Pop, such as Secret, B.A.P, K.Will, Mamamoo, Wheesung, and 4Men. The roster has since been expanded for access to the IP of more than 2,500 songs with the addition of WM Entertainment in 2021, and DP Media earlier this year.

A MetaBeat spokesperson explained:

“MetaBeat plans to redefine the relationship between artists and fandom, which is the core of the K-POP music industry, through a global music IP business in line with the Web3 era, and to implement a growth platform where the fandom leads the artists’ growth.” He continued, ”In the future, along with the recruitment of additional alliances, we will present various F2E (FAN TO EARN) programs that implement communication between various artists and fandoms, and will play a role in the growth of K-POP in the global market.”
