GuildFi Rebrands into Zentry to Give Players Access to Gaming Rewards

GuildFi, a Web3 gaming guild backed by Binance Labs and Coinbase has announced plans to rebrand into Zentry.

As part of this rebranding process, GuildFi is also planning to develop a unified superlayer that will give players access to rewards when they participate in different games. The rewards will be accessed by players in the blockchain and Web2 gaming industries.

GuildFi Rebrands to Zentry

GuildFi started its journey in the Web3 gaming industry through the popularity of Axie Infinity. At the time, the guild held a scholarship program that allowed players access to in-game NFTs in exchange for a share of their play-to-earn income.

Over the years, GuildFi has expressed plans to achieve more. One of these plans includes the formation of a cross-game ID that will increase points across multiple games. It also seeks to reward players for their engagement.

GuildFi is now planning to expand its offerings in the Web3 gaming industry under the Zentry brand. Zentry will be a Web3 superlayer that not only targets crypto and NFT games but also leverages the data coming from games that are accessible on Web2 platforms.

Zentry to Continue to Focus on Improving Web3 Games

GuildFi will continue focusing on the blockchain gaming sector under the Zentry brand. The new brand is now planning to aim higher to reward users with more activities in the social and entertainment industries.

Some of the new offerings that will be launched through the rebranding include social media interactions and real-world actions. These activities will be tracked using an upcoming application that will be integrated into the new offering.

The flagship Radiant app by Zentry will be used as an interface for users, allowing players to progress and generate rewards depending on their activities across blockchain applications, traditional gaming platforms, social media platforms, and the physical world.

While speaking to crypto news site, Decrypt, Jarindr Thitadilaka, opined that GuildFi was working on a Play Economy that would transform the play-to-earn industry. This economy will expand its offering beyond games and Web3.

“Within it, every play, every victory, and every moment not only enriches your gaming legacy but also benefits your real-world self, empowering gamers like never before,” Thitadilaka said.

As part of the rebranding strategy announced by GuildFi, the platform is also planning to release a new token known as ZENT. Those holding the GuildFi (GF) token on the Ethereum blockchain can swap it for ZENT at an exchange rate of 1:10 through the web portal.

GuildFi secured $140M worth of funding in 2021 with the backing of Binance Labs, Coinbase Ventures and Animoca Brands. According to the firm, it had a $100M valuation at the beginning of the year.
