Ethereum NFT marketplace for wines and spirits partners with Maison Ruinart

BlockBar.com, a non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace dealing in wines and spirits, has partnered with the oldest champagne house, Maison Ruinart. Through this partnership deal, Maison Ruinart will be releasing the company’s first asset-backed NFT.

Releasing its first NFT will be a major achievement for Maison Ruinart, a company that has paid attention to artistic ethos. As part of this partnership deal, the two companies will also have a joint immersive experience at Maison Ruinart in Reims, France.

A Ruinart NFT will be presented through the partnership deal at the Ruinart lounge at Art Basel Miami Beach. The NFT will also accompany a physical version of Ruinart Rose, created by one of the most popular artists globally, Jeppe Hein.

One of the opportunities that will be available to users is the ability to win eight out of the 25 Huinart Limited Editions that Jeppe Hein has created. This will include a box set, a “bubble” piece of art, and an invitation to be part of an immersive experience at Maison Ruinart.

The offer that Blockbar.com is promoting is also inclusive of a visit to the cellars of Maison Ruinart. This includes the chalk quarries popularly known as Crayeres. The latter is a UNESCO World Heritage Site where one will visit the Maison Ruinart heritage that has existed for several centuries.

Blockbar.com will also be using this partnership to celebrate the release of its NFT marketplace. Among the things that the company will be offering its users as part of the celebrations include early access to pre-purchase NFTs. These NFTs were granted to the holders of the BlockBar NFTs before the platform’s official launch on December 5.

“Maison Ruinart laid the first foundation stone in the history of champagne, and we continue to create history today with our first NFT offering; a mix of product excellence, contemporary art, and a unique experience,” said the President and the CEO of Maison Ruinart, Frederic Dufuor.

The CEO and co-founder of BlockBar, Dov Falic, also commented on this initiative, saying that the company was pleased to be selected by Maison Ruinart to drop the company’s first NFT. Folic noted that BlockBar was committed to bridging the gap between the virtual and the physical world, adding that the company was looking forward to more NFT drops in 2023.

The BlockBar NFT marketplace

BlockBar is an NFT marketplace on Ethereum that was launched in October 2021. The platform deals in NFTs related to luxury wine and spirits. Each of these NFTs is represented by a physical bottle exclusive to the company.

The owners of these NFTs can choose to collect, resell or give them away. The platform also allows users to burn their NFTs, after which they will receive a physical bottle shipped from a secure facility owned by BlockBar in Singapore.

BlockBar works with some of the largest brands, such as Bacardi, LVMH, Diageo, William Grant & Sons, Pernod Ricard, Sazerac, and more.
