Coachella Plans To Unveil NFT Quests Game At Its Music Festival

Coachella, in a strategic collaboration with Ava Labs’s Avalanche, has revealed its plan to launch Coachella Quests, an innovative blockchain-based loyalty game. The game is developed to increase loyalty and engagement among festival-goers. It will be unveiled during this year’s Coachella Music Festival. This plan showcases a new gamification approach, maximizing the potential of Web3 technology.

Several concert enthusiasts who would be attending the Music Festival can receive upgrades and perks by playing the Coachella Quests. Those who complete quests on the Coachella Discord network at the event will earn stamps.

Participants Are Expected To Receive Numerous Festival Benefits

Concertgoers can also collect points which can be exchanged for premium festival benefits. One advantage of this festival is that participants will be able to access the Oasis VIP lounge, music yet to be released, a unique upcoming non-fungible token, and many more.

More on the latest update, Coachella is set to launch the Coachella Canvas app soon. The app is developed to provide an enhanced Avalanche experience at the festival. Participants can make a Canvas Card, which will aid as a personal passport. The card will be used to document their experiences at Coachella.

Sam Schoonover, Coachella Innovation Lead, mentioned that The Quest is connected to the festival experience. It is also related to artists, partners, and locations at the festival. He also revealed that as participants complete challenges and earn stamps, Coachella will be enlightened about consumers and how they performed at the festival.

He added that all information regarding the prize redemption guidelines and the criteria for completing the quest will be shown alongside the festival program upon release.

Paul Reveals The Main Reason Behind The Forthcoming Program

Paul Chodirker, Director of Enterprise Business Development at Ava Lab, the studio behind Avalanche commented on the game launch. He said the main aim of the program is to foster user engagement and not to learn about the attendees or retain data. Attendees who have their tickets ready for the program are set for an elevated experience, Paul mentioned.

The collaboration with Ava Labs is not the first venture into Web3 for Coachella. The music company collaborated with FTX US, a defunct cryptocurrency exchange, in February 2022. Both companies planned to auction a forever-valid access permit as a non-fungible token on Solana, together with other collectibles.

The following November, FTX crashed, freezing customer’s non-fungible tokens worth over $1.5 million on its platform which led to a bankruptcy filing. However, Coachella has announced that it plans to assist those customers who are victims of this.
