Binance Users Break Record With $13 Billion Staked For Saga Gaming Tokens

There is keen interest in the forthcoming token on the Saga layer-1 blockchain network, as it prepares for listing next week. Binance users have set a new record for the highest digital currency staked to receive SAGA token rewards through the cryptocurrency exchange’s Launchpool program.

Binance customers have staked over $13.1 billion worth of FDUSD stablecoin and Binance Coin (BNB) to receive a portion of the 45 million SAGA tokens available on the platform.

Binance Wants To Add The SAGA Token On April 9

Saga announced the previous $13 billion milestone as a record on X. Current Launchpool campaigns for tokens such as ETHFI and ENA have almost reached the $13 billion milestone, but Saga seems to have been the first to surpass that limit considering the value of BNB back then.

In February, a different gaming token known as Portal (PORTAL) set a new benchmark of $8.6 billion on Binance Launchpool. However, due to the burgeoning value of BNB, all token rollouts since then have easily exceeded that tally.

Binance will add the SAGA token on April 9. Meanwhile, approximately 370,000 Binance users are staking different amounts of cryptocurrency to receive SAGA at launch.

Saga Seeks To Revolutionize Blockchain Technology

Saga, built as a “chain to launch chains,” can be utilized in supporting apps that were used on other decentralized networks and also employed in parallel to fuel decentralized apps (dapps).

It is not solely focused on gaming but has actively embraced the gaming sector to its anticipated mainnet launch. The platform has held various play-to-airdrop gaming competitions, with winners receiving SAGA tokens. With approximately 80% of projects on the Saga testnet being gaming-related, Saga is set to introduce an in-house game producer known as Saga Origins.

Despite already distributing SAGA tokens to players, owners of particular well-known NFT projects, and DeFi stakers across various chains, Saga has offered a significant chunk of its first circulating supply for Binance users

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Saga, Rebecca Liao, highlighted that the team aims to attract a broader audience for the platform as its token takes flight.

Liao further stressed that the feature behind Binance is that it has a very expansive retail user base. Saga community airdrop was geared towards their key technology partners, as well as gamers and individuals involved in the ecosystem from the start.”
