Avalanche Announces Collaboration With Alipay+ For Web3 Voucher Initiative

Avalanche has formed a strategic partnership with Alipay+ D-store and its e-wallet allies to launch a web3-powered voucher program in Southeast Asia. The initiative enables users to receive up to 50% off on milk teas from 10 well-known brands.

It is redeemable at more than 500 participating stores, with plans to extend to over 2,000 stores. Customers can obtain these vouchers by participating in a branded mini-game provided by one of Avalanche’s allies in the region.

The program Plans To Expand Its Customer Base To More Than 100 Million People

The initiative is built on an Avalanche Subnet and is controlled by AvaCloud. The program marks the beginning of a two-phase proof-of-concept (POC).

The second stage is set to increase the program’s reach to beverages and food merchants. It also plans to enlarge its customer base to more than 100 million people in the Chinese Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines tourists exploring these nations.

Alipay+ D-store empowers this program by providing a unified platform for analytics, marketing, orders, online sales, and in-store processes. without any initial fees, it seeks a streamlined setup procedure, encouraging wide participation from top e-wallets in Southeast Asia.

Customers will be allowed to fain from this initiative via an engaging and simple process. By participating in a mini-game presented on the Alipay+ D-store in an Alipay+ partner e-wallet, players can be rewarded with a Web3-powered voucher for finishing the game.

Alipay Seeks To Enhance Milk Tea Shopping With Blockchain And Web3 Innovations

Upon receiving the voucher, users can claim it to obtain discounts on their milk tea purchases. This not only adds an engaging experience but also provides real benefits in the form of discounts, enriching the general shopping journey for milk tea lovers.

According to the announcement, “The Proof of Concept (POC) will enable brands such as Alipay+ D-store to experiment with Web3 solutions. It also enables merchants to facilitate a novel form of interactions with customers, fostering retention and generating new revenue streams.

Avalanche Subnets serve as the technical backbone for this initiative, providing customizable blockchain solutions that ensure transparency and Web3 functionalities. Moreover, this flexibility also sets the stage for future partnerships with brands leveraging blockchain features and digital collectibles.

Furthermore, the project utilizes AvaCloud, enabling Alipay+ D-store and other businesses to implement Subnets without the problem of development and maintenance, thanks to support from Ava Labs. This strategy reflects the successful adoption of AvaCloud Subnets by leading industries like SK Planet, Deloitte, and AWS.

Alipay, established in Hangzhou, China in February 2004 by Alibaba Group and its founder Jack Ma, is a third-party mobile and online payment platform. Although Alipay relocated its headquarters to Pudong, Shanghai in 2015, its parent firm Ant Financial remains based in Hangzhou.
