Amazon Web Services Teams Up With WAX For Crypto Game Deployment

The foremost cloud computing provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS), has announced a strategic partnership with the WAX network. The purpose of this collaboration is to incorporate the blockchain into AWS’s Amazon Managed Blockchain (AMB) offering for use with NFTs and crypto games.

The Alliance Will Benefit Both Traditional And Blockchain-Native Developers

The partnership will enable developers to effortlessly use WAX nodes and incorporate blockchain functionality into their apps quickly with the AWS console. Amazon explained the incorporation in a blog post published on Tuesday.

The Chief Technology Officer at WAX, Lukas Sliwka mentioned that the newly formed alliance between Amazon Web Services and WAZ is a huge leap forward in their goal to make web3 more accessible.

The partnership will allow both traditional and blockchain-native web2 developers alike to start creating their apps on the WAX network. He added that It will also enable them to easily integrate decentralized features into their current projects.

Previously, game creators had to either individually set up their nodes, a difficult process, or utilize external node providers therefore giving up some control. The WAX incorporation simplifies this by providing a complete set of Web3 tools such as blockchain explorers, random number creation, single sign-on, and a cloud wallet.

A Representative from WAX block producer BountyBlok, Dimitri Nikolaros stated that by combining traditional Web2 frameworks with the potential of blockchain, the firm provides creators with the best of both realms.

Wax’s Collaboration With Amazon Seeks To Enhance Blockchain Integration

Decrypt asked the representatives from WAX regarding the terms of their agreement with Amazon Web Services but did not receive an immediate response.

This collaboration builds upon WAX’s existing connection with Amazon, as Brawlers, a blockchain game recently partnered with Amazon Prime Gaming, to provide free NFTs and additional benefits to players. Other games on the WAX blockchain include Splinterlands and Alien Worlds.

The value of the chain’s WAXP token surged significantly over the past day following WAX teased an Amazon announcement, reaching a peak of $0.1271 according to CoinGecko data. This marks the highest value seen since August 2022. However, WAXP has dipped since the recent break, dropping to $0.1067 currently. It remains 11% higher than the previous day.

AWS a parent company of Amazon, offers APIs and instant cloud computing solutions on a pay-as-you-go basis to governments, companies, and individuals.

Clients will frequently utilize these features in combination with autoscaling, enabling clients to utilize more computing resources in times of high application demand, and then reducing costs.

These cloud computing web services offer a range of services linked to IoT, middleware, storage, computing, networking, and additional processing capacity, alongside software tools through AWS server farms. This approach free clients from scaling, managing, and patching hardware and operating systems.
