TokenTraxx And OpenLab Confirm First Audio-Visual NFT Collection

OpenLab, innovative Ibiza-based music, and arts platform is expected to launch a highly specialized set of art x music collaborative NFTs. Their announcement came after the news of their early-access Future Pass arose on August 3.

The project becomes the first initiative with TokenTraxx. They are coming together to integrate cutting-edge music talent with some exciting names dominating the visual art space to develop new and highly collectible audio-visual works.

What Is The OpenLab x TokenTraxx NFT Collaboration All About?

The project, known as ‘New Mycelium Network’, is inspired mainly by the networked roots of fungi. Furthermore, it takes collaboration as a jumping-off point for imaginative and innovative departures in challenging times.

On August 3 at 6 pm BST, a highly limited number of OpenLab Future Passes was made available via TokenTraxx. In general, these passes offered early access to the exclusive NFT drop.

It was the first of many ambitious cross-platform creative partnerships between TokenTraxx and OpenLab. But why? TokenTraxx has said that it is on a mission to become the center of a new independent music and art creator economy.

They strive to achieve this by offering a platform that is driven by NFTs which supports and financially benefits the entire arts community.

Audio-Visual NFTs And The Artists Behind Them

So far, Saeko Ehara x Xiaolin and Kate Somko x Ellie Pritts drops are the first two collaborations in the pipeline. Nevertheless, more announcements are coming quite soon. All Future Pass holders will get some early access.

The classically trained cellist, Ellie Pritts creates majorly saturated and psychedelic artworks that spellbind her viewers. Furthermore, her digital practice is an integrated collaboration with old-school analog technology, artificial intelligence, and the latest in coding languages and techniques.

She then collaborated with Kate Simko, an experienced classical pianist, and composer who is a DJ and electronic music producer. Born in Chicago but now based in London, Kate launched LEO – the London Electronic Orchestra.

The LEO is an all-female fusion of classical and electronic music. In the meantime, Kate also teaches electronic music at The Royal College of Music. Despite all that, she still found some time to work on electronic music productions in partnership with top sector producers Jamie Jones and Seth Troxler.

The next drop consists of Japanese digital artist Saeko Ehara: dubbed The Queen of all that sparkles. Introducing her fascination with glitter to digital art, her practice now includes nonfungible tokens and generative video.

As a VJ, her incredible immersive installations respond in real-time to the music playing together with them. In tune with the sound, Saeko generates enchanting organic patterns that develop a euphoric experience. Consequently, her NFTs are notorious for their intensive detail and fantasy feel.

Saeko then worked with Xiaolin (Olivia Xiaolin) – a sound explorer, producer, DJ, and instrumentalist from Hong Kong. Xiaolin has an incredibly wide sonic spectrum that features jazz fusion, dreamy synths, acid house, and organic breaks. Furthermore, she attained a double master’s degree in jazz and music technology at Berklee College of Music.
