Silks Introduces First P2E Metaverse Based Actual-World Thoroughbred Horse Racing

Amid the growing popularity of metaverses, many projects have come up in the market. Silks game is among the most recent interesting additions. This blockchain-based, play-to-earn (P2E) metaverse game has promised to be a groundbreaking derivative gaming experience.

In general, Silks is based on real-world thoroughbred horse racing. In that context, every digital Silks Horse NFT is a derivative of a real-world racehorse. The Silks avatars are stunning.

Silks Is A Unique Metaverse

Silks, a P2E metaverse game, offers a virtual world where the players get to experience “the thrill of owning thoroughbred racehorses”. Gamers can buy, trade, and interact with many in-game NFT assets, including Silks Horses, Avatars, Land, and Stables. More crucially, the users can earn tokens by simply showcasing their gaming skills and contributing to the Silks network.

The game is unique since every Silks Horse is directly connected to a real-world thoroughbred horse. By using that innovative approach, a Silks Horse tracks real-time data about the training progress, bloodlines, and racing results of its actual-world counterpart.

Moreover, each time the racehorse wins a race or breeds offspring in the real world, the owner of the Silks Horse that corresponds to it earns some tokens. The tokens, $STT, are Silks’ in-game transaction tokens. Gamers can use the $STT tokens to buy in-game items in the marketplace, including the Silks Avatars, Stables, Land, and Silks Horses.

Silks’ governance token, $SLK, is also available in the Silks metaverse. The token holders can become part of the Silks DAO and vote on significant platform decisions. Also, the players can change their $STT tokens to $SLK.

The Game’s NFTs

The Silks metaverse comprises several exciting nonfungible tokens (NFTs). The Avatars and horses are the most important among them. Gamers must own an Avatar to acquire a Horse. The Silks Genesis Avatar collection is scheduled to drop on April 27. Every NFT will cost around 0.15 ETH.

Once the Avatars launch, Silks will then drop the first batch of their Horses in mid-2022. Later, it will drop the subsequent generation of horses every year concurrently to the real-world registration of yearlings in the United States.

Besides the Avatars and Horses, the platform offers many other NFTs. For example, the Silks metaverse will be situated on 202,500 acres of virtual land. Notably, there will be an NFT for every plot of land where the players can build their horse farms. The primary structure necessary for the operation of a horse farm is the stable. Stables are other forms of NFTs in the Silks ecosystem.

Based on the project’s roadmap, Stables and Lands will drop in Q3 2022. Metaverse registration will come in Q4 and eventually, the metaverse will become active in Q1 2023.

With all that in mind, Silks seems to be a promising metaverse project that everyone should watch out for, mostly due to its derivative P2E structure. The team wants to add more player roles in the game and NFT properties in the future. Thus, everyone interested in this game has a lot to look forward to.
