Angrymals PvP Video Game Lets You Aim And Smash

If you love Angry Birds and Worms, then Angrymals video game is a perfect match for you. The free-to-play, PvP tactical video game, uses a simple concept – throw lots of junk, wreck things, and repeat. In development since 2015, this game is available on both App Store and Google Play.

The developers said that they are preparing to drop an Angrymals NFT collection soon. Notably, the boutique Italian game studio, Sionera Entertainment, is developing this game. After Catheon Gaming, a blockchain game publisher purchased the studio in January 2022, the team appears to be now focusing on turning this game into a blockchain-based, play-to-earn game.

Angrymals Gameplay

Crucially, Angrymals is a turn-based action game that involves two players going head-to-head. Since it seems to take its inspiration from Angry Birds, the gameplay is simple and easy to learn. Normally, each team gets three animals. The aim is to bring down the other team’s animals’ HP to zero.

You are allowed to build your fortresses to ensure that all animals are kept inside and then shoot when it is your turn. As is the case with Angry Birds, Angrymals lets you drag and release to aim and shoot weapons. These weapons first destroy the fortress and then the animals. Interestingly, these weapons range from strange items like sperm whales to exploding rubber chickens.

Before starting a match, you can assign a weapon of choice to every Angrymals character. Although this game is easy to play, skill and strategy are crucial to master as the game progresses. Thus, you need to carefully pick the weapons available according to the four damages that they can inflict, which include Fire, Explosion, Impact, and Electricity.

Play-To-Earn NFTs And Tokens Ecosystem

The NFTs in this collection comprise creative artworks. As the Angrymals video game works tirelessly on its P2E integration, this game is all set to drop its first nonfungible token collection. The Banner NFT collection will feature 8,888 NFTs powered by the Solana blockchain. These NFTs will drop later this month at a mint price of 1 SOL each.

These NFTs are important to the game since only the holders gain access to the P2E mechanics. You can only exchange the in-game rewards for tokens in case you have the NFTs. Then, the Angrymals team is scheduled to hold a major IDO (Initial DEX Offering) in early May. That is the time when they will unveil the Chaos Orbs token, which is the game’s main currency.

You can purchase the token in the market or earn it as a reward for topping leaderboards, via giveaways and events, and staking. You can also use the token to acquire Chaos Chests, NFTs, staking, merge NFTs, and a lot more.

The second currency (off-chain) of this game is Chaos Shards. It is most important for accessing the game’s P2E capabilities. You are allowed to bet a specific amount of Chaos Shards in PvP games, and in this case, the winner takes everything. You can also use the tokens to pay fees for tournament entry among other uses.

Players earn Shards by participating in many available in-game activities. It includes activity bonuses, login streaks, participating in competitive tournaments, winning PvP matches, promotional events, and more. Interestingly, only the Angrymals NFT holders can change their Chaos Shards into Chaos Orbs.

In general, Angrymals is an exciting game. With play-to-earn integration, this game is expected to get better.
