Dissolution was launched in August 2019. The nonfungible token-based blockchain-powered game is action-packed and was created as a Science fiction First-Person Shooter game filled with RPG elements. The NFT game was designed by Garage Studios. It consists of blockchain-backed collectible items and its in-game cryptos, $DIS, $LP, and $OMEN offer users tokenized utilities together with a holistic gameplay experience.

Dissolution Overview

Dissolution is a Free-t-play game (FPS) that is set in its fiction-based gamified universe that is ravaged by what the ecosystem referred to as ‘rogue AI’. The game was co-founded by Houston Song and Adam MacDonald. It was developed by Garage Studios and was designed with the eventual end goal of developing an open-world MMORPG.

Since the start of its development some two years ago, Dissolution has already launched a 32-person Free-to-play mode and has seen 5-figure sales from in-game NFTs sales. Originally built within the Enjin Multiverse, Dissolution recently decided to move to its platform to continue with its development efforts.

The developers want to continue using the ERC-1155 token standard but have expressed some interest in exploring some new avenues striving to adjust to the increasing congestion that exists on the Ethereum network. The Storyline

Dissolution is an MMPORG game that is set in its solar system 400 years into the future. The game happens after a war of extinction between humanity and its children, artificial intelligence (AI). The game elaborated that its Earth has been destroyed by its weapons of mass destruction to contain the Artificial Intelligence threat from affecting the entire solar system.

The Storyline for this NFT game describes how that by great sacrifice, humanity managed to survive, spreading across the entire solar system under the unified banner of the Inter-Planetary Defence Force (IPDF). Nevertheless, IPDF forces are reported to have spread thin and are now struggling to maintain control of its sectors.

In the meantime, there are growing rumors of a looming AI space fleet that is circulating the general system beyond human sensors and gradually getting ready for a second strategic attack. In the case of Dissolution, the story is about Humanity dwindling and shaking. In that context, what remains of the government is in a state of dissolution.

End User’s Game Role

The input provided by the users in the storyline comes into play as every player can decide to help advance the story in whichever direction they want. The less scrupulous players will exploit the chaos to rob, kill, and even terrorize the other players. However, if you get too much notorious, the IPDF may get deployed to settle things.

This dynamic storytelling experience is descriptively expected to emerge via updates to the game, enhanced by each player’s decisions.
