Mist game NFT is a blockchain game that is rapidly introducing gamers to the budding decentralized technology. Just like Axie Infinity, CryptoBlades, and My Neighbor Alice, this game is also gaining ground in the crypto world with users thrilled by its play-to-earn (P2E) model.

Analysts describe it as an open-world MMO that offers a dynamic combat style.

What Is Mist?

By description, Mist is a well-developed blockchain-based action RPG game. Interestingly, it is centered around staking, nonfungible tokens (NFTs), and farming. It is created with Unity using the in-house Mist NFT Game Framework (MNGF).

Moreover, it enables the developers to synchronize game builds and code via the Unity Teams Collaborate module that is ideal when working with international teams. Unlike the public developers like TopeBox and Mavis, the team that created Mist remains anonymous.

The anonymity is perceived by many to be quite cool and clever, especially given that the name of the game is ‘Mist.’ But, the team has decided to operate under their lead developer’s alias name: Scythe. This game is an open-world, Action Role Playing Game. It comes with a dynamic combat style that is unique to its name.

It is believed to feature raids, quests, explorations, and the challenging but fun player-versus-player mode. Furthermore, the team said that Mist honors the devotion of its players by offering some favorable combat systems that can stretch beyond the basic gameplay that many players are used to. Thus, it gives competitive-minded players rewards when they focus on the PVP mode.

How Does This NFT Game Work?

As is the case with Axie Infinity and its SLP, or even the example of My DeFi Pet with their DPET tokens, Mist also has native MIST tokens. These tokens are mostly used to buy or swap NFTs in-game and outside the gaming world.

The team said that there will be an in-game auction house that lets players list their NFTs for sale and swap them for the published amount of MIST token.

Scythe helped in setting up a self-governing network that uses top-quality optimization via the principles of artificial intelligence. Therefore, the developers want to integrate AI agents that will help in regulating prices of every loot, item, mineral, and crafting material.

The Mist token is linked to and synchronized with the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). BSC is a blockchain network that is designed for powering smart contract-based applications. The integration makes it quicker, easier, and more affordable for the Mist players to send tokens from their digital wallets to another network.

BSC runs concurrently with the native Binance chain. This gives users a high transaction capacity of BC coupled with the smart contract functionality of BSC. BSC also uses the Etherum Virtual Machine (EVM) to support ETH-based apps like MetaMask.

The game was in the development stage for years since it only started as a passion project. But, the Scythe team confirmed that the game will be available on Steam in the future.

According to the roadmap on its released whitepaper, Mist is expected to go live by 2022. However, the MIST tokens are already available for purchase on various crypto exchanges. Users can download the MetaMask digital wallet, create a Binance account for the acquisition of BNB coins.

Once the player gets the BNB coins, they can send them to their MetaMask. From the digital wallet, the BNB coins can be swapped to Mist Tokens using PancakeSwap. Hence, it is advisable to integrate MetaMask to Pancake when preparing to play the NFT game. After completing these preparations, players can go to the official Mist website and link their MetaMask.

How To Play And Earn

Since Mist is still in the pipeline, here is an overview of what to expect. It will be a quick-paced RPG where players must move constantly during combat. Rapid spacebar mashing and WASD spamming will be needed to avoid incoming spells and projectiles.

When you are not being attacked, you may relax and roleplay in the city. Players will also be allowed to form parties and guilds as they keep traversing the open world. Currently, Mist has five playable classes that include Enchanter, Witch Hunter, Crusader, Shapeshifter, and Ranger.

Players can also obtain the game’s tokens in different ways as outlined in the project’s whitepaper.
