Stepn Partners With Apple Pay To Allow Direct NFTs Purchase

Stepn, a web-focused lifestyle project, has enabled digital asset purchases through the integration of Apple Pay. The new integration has set a major milestone for both the tech giant and the Web3 gaming project. It will enable users to easily buy sneakers and other items directly on the Steph app without linking to the crypto wallet.

The New Feature Will Enable Users To Buy SPARK Credits

Following the integration, users can now buy SPARK credits by linking their debit or credit cards to Apple Pay.

Users can also explore and buy items on the marketplace using $GMT, which can be obtained when customers sell items, irrespective of their purchase options. The integration also means that the new feature is exclusively available on Apple devices. However, part of Apple’s policies means that users will have to pay additional taxation fees on the price of Stepn’s digital items when they buy with SPARK credits.

However, Steph has stated that the feature is secure and that users’ information will be protected by the tech giant.

Apple Pay is a leading mobile application used by millions of phone users. The popularity of the app and its widespread use will be an advantage for the onboarding of more mainstream users as the Web3 landscape evolves via the Stepn application.

Following the announcement, Stepn will be announcing its presence as the first Move-to-Earn platform to offer this type of project. Apart from simplifying the purchase process, the notable achievement will also bridge the gap between the Web3 ecosystem and mainstream users.

The Find Satoshi Lab (SSL) is the software team behind the Stepn. Its co-founder, Jerry Huang, commented on the development. “STEPN was the first move&earn application to be hosted on the App Store, he said, adding that the company has already achieved remarkable growth in a short time.

Following the integration of Apple Pay, the platform says the user journey is even more interesting and seamless, which has removed the issues for those interested in the opportunities. This integration is coming only a few days after Sky Davies announced that its Origins version will be available on App Store. Sky Mavis is the team behind the popular game title Axie Infinity.

The game shows Apple’s gradual adoption of digital assets, although it’s still only available for download in select countries.

Apple is still threading cautiously in the NFT space, which means both Stepn and Axie Infinity must follow the tech giant’s policies to approve. Chief Executive Officer of Stepn, Shiti Rastogi Manghani, stated that it was not easy to reach an agreement with Apple. But he believes that the partnership is a great opportunity for wider adoption within the NFT space.
