Holograph brings the CryptoPunk NFT project to the meme industry

Holograph, a multichain NFT protocol, has announced its latest collaboration between the CryptoPunk #8527 with the work of Eric Elms, which showcases the views of the California-based artist on Kilroy.

Holograph combines CryptoPunk with iconic meme

The latest partnership announced by Holograph comes as the company attempts to secure its presence in the NFT industry. The partnership also marks the third offering by the multichain protocol using its consumer-savvy application.

The new project is part of an open-edition mint that will cost $15. The mint is live for 48 hours. While speaking on the matter, foobar, who is the owner of CryptoPunk #8537, said that the asset will play a critical role in boosting brand recognition over time. The Foobar project has 133,000 followers on Twitter.

“Kilroy Was Here” is an American symbol that dates back to the 1940s. The symbol appeared on battlefields across Europe and the Pacific. Elms is playing a crucial role in integrating the history of the graffiti symbol into the fast-evolving NFT industry.

According to Elms, Kilroy had a rich history as the symbol dates back to World War II. However, over time, the symbol had evolved across different cultures in different eras. Elms said that the project now parallels CryptoPunks because of its rich history within the NFT industry in a conceptual and stylish manner.

Elms has also said that his work in the industry revolves around printed materials that are turned using collages to generate new meaning. As such, his views on the matter as an outside artist show that it is necessary to recognize the pixelated style of CryptoPunks, which boosts its digital presence.

Elms has also said that there is a rich history in native NFT art. Therefore, it was important to not only apply technology but also support the visual representation of the sub-culture. The collaboration between Elms and the CryptoPunk NFT has already been teased in New York City, according to the co-founder and CEO of Holograph, Jeff Gluck.

Holograph is focused on tech and culture

Gluck has also said that Holograph is focused on technology. Holograph is a project that is focused on digital collectibles, and it allows users to mint NFTs across blockchains and swap them between networks. The platform currently supports Avalanche, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Optimism and Polygon networks.

NFTs have become increasingly popular in recent years. Some of the most popular projects such as DeGods and Doodles, have expanded over time into new networks. Foobar said that Holograph was addressing some challenges in this process.

The previous mint announced by the Holograph project featured the work of an artist known as Jasmine Monsegue. At the time, Holograph saw a free NFT being minted more than 300,000 times within a 48-hour period. Most of the NFTs were minted on the Polygon layer-two network.

Gluck has also opined that most people minting Holograph NFTs on Polygon were likely avoiding the high gas fees on some networks such as Ethereum. As such, it was more viable to have a project that runs across different blockchains to boost user convenience.
