Game Space And Harmony Partner To Onboard Web3 Games To Web3

Harmony has announced a partnership with Game Space that will bring Web3 gaming to the masses. According to the announcement, the two parties will onboard games to Web3 by taking advantage of Harmony’s proof-of-stake blockchain.

The partnership will also enable the use of Game Space’s GameFi-as-a-service platform that cuts down the cost and time of on-chain game development.

Existing Game Developers Will Take Advantage Of The Integration

The collaboration will create a gaming ecosystem where existing Web3 developers can take advantage of web3 gaming without having to transit fully to the blockchain.

Game Space offers an embedded software development kit (SDK) that allows web2 game makers to integrate a crypto wallet and an NFT marketplace direct into their games.

Harmony, on the other hand, provides a proof-of-stake blockchain network that enables fast and less expensive transaction processing by NFT marketplaces. The platform utilizes sharding to provide an endless scaling solution to developer apps. Sharding enables the processing of blockchain data by distributing it across several machines, which maintains decentralization and security.

Harmony Founder, Stephen Tse, while commenting on the collaboration, stated that Harmony has designed the right blockchain platform for GameFi developers.

He said the company is excited about the partnership as both platforms are looking forward to supporting the next generation of games. Additionally, the partnership will help to speed up the mass adoption of Web3 through sharding technology.

The Two Parties Will Deploy The SMPC Technology

“Our SDK can help Web2 gaming companies to deploy their games on Web3 in a matter of days,” Chief Executive Officer of Game Space, Michael Cameron, said while commenting on the partnership.

He stated that Game Space offers one-click multi-chain deployment solutions, wallet integration, and an embedded NFT marketplace with complete support for web, Android, and iOS devices.

The two firms are adopting the business class Secure Multi-Party Computation (SMPC) technology. It will be used to generate and store private keys, which will allow users easy access to private keys while remaining visible.

The integrated ecosystem will provide a completely supported token wallet, enabling Web3 gamers to deposit, swap, and withdraw their token assets. Game Space and Harmony will also be organizing a joint campaign to promote NFT and GameFi-related projects as they are looking to expand Web3 adoption across the world.
