Evaverse Metaverse Game Preparing To Launch Play-To-Earn In 2022

Evaverse metaverse gaming platform completed its holiday “Wonderland” event. Their 10-day play-to-earn (P2E) event started on December 22 and rewarded the gamers with special tickets for playing the game. Players were allowed to redeem 500 of these tickets to get a free NFT airdrop.

Hoverboard races appear to be the heartbeats of the game within the Evaverse, with more games scheduled to come up along the way.

Evaverse Wonderland Is First Successful P2E Debut

Evaverse Wonderland was the first play-to-earn (P2E) event that the metaverse game hosted. As is always the case with Evaverse, this event was entirely free for everyone to enter and participate actively. In other words, the players do not need any Evaverse NFTs to enter the metaverse or even play any of the games within it.

But, the P2E aspect of Wonderland never followed the token-earning model that many people think about whenever it comes to the P2E metaverse games. Partially, that has to do with the idea that Evaverse is on the Steam game platform currently.

Steam does not support the exchange of tokens or any cryptos on its platform. Furthermore, this metaverse game is still creating the full token economy that it wants to launch in 2022. With that in mind, Evaverse decided to reward the players with tickets. In that context, they worked like an in-game “soft currency” that the players can then exchange for a nonfungible token outside of the metaverse game.

The players earned tickets by discovering and collecting treasures scattered all over the Evaverse world. Moreover, they could earn tickets by participating in hoverboard races and leveling up all of their hoverboard NFTs.

Evaverse importantly offered the players double experience points during that event. That enabled the players to level up their hoverboards quickly. That component will come as a major benefit for the players after the competitive earning aspect comes to the metaverse game.

By all means, that event was a major success. Damos noted that during that event, 10-20 people competed in the metaverse game’s hoverboard races throughout. Players managed to claim all 1000 Wonderland NFTs days before that event ended.

Evaverse Includes A Game-First Approach To Its Metaverse

Evaverse creators have a cumulative 30+ years of experience in video games. Their experience spans from design, development, to programming for video games from the indie to the AAA level.

Without any doubt, most of the NFT space’s early metaverse game projects have already launched early in their development. In that context, the projects have products that may not satisfy the players’ traditional gaming experiences. Some of the projects promise games as part of the development roadmaps but then struggle to deliver on their promises.

Thus, the Evaverse team’s experience in the video game sector makes them unique in the current metaverse gaming world. Damos said that Evaverse strives to maintain a “game-first development”. The developers dropped several NFT collections with all of them having utility within the metaverse space.

While commenting on the game-first development strategy, Damos stated:

“For a player, if you buy into anything Evaverse-related you know that the game counterpart is right there. It’s not something that’s promised sometime in the future where that introduces that speculative element.”

That makes a lot of sense looking at the team’s background and primary goal. They want to create the most fun game experiences available in the metaverse.

“We want to provide the utility up front, because, to me, that’s just how things should be. That’s how games are built. And that’s how we’ve been doing it in the gaming industry this whole time. And so, building on the NFT technology shouldn’t change that.”

Although the Wonderland event had been completed, players can enjoy the special, snow-covered map in the metaverse.

Huge Announcements Coming Up In January

With all things put into consideration, the metaverse game is ready for an eventful 2022. For instance, Evaverse has many significant announcements that will make this month exciting. They have an upcoming VC funding, and they will confirm several partnerships. The partnerships are set to be a major factor in the Evaverse game managing to launch its full P2E game economy and $EVA token.

While commenting on these partnerships, Damos said:

“We’re working with those partners very closely to develop the tokenomics model, to ensure that we’re doing this sustainably for the long term in a way that’s going to continue to provide value to players in the community.”

Also, the Evaverse team will go public officially with their identities later in January. In that context, Damos acknowledged:

“There’s been some skepticism about us being an anonymous team. Which was sort of the norm when we launched. At any rate, the team always planned to make itself public at the right time.”

The issue of anonymous project creators has become a major selling point in the NFT space recently. But, the Evaverse team has already set up a massive community behind its product. The huge success of the Wonderland event is proof of that. It also has NFT collections in the pipeline and other products that are expected to grow the metaverse game even further.
